Embodied in the soulful melodies of country-rock, the award-winning artist duo known as Mercy Shine has etched a trailblazing path in the music industry. Rising from the fertile grounds of the Tidewater region of Virginia, this powerhouse of music is made up of Jason Clark and Matt Barfield. Unyielding in their authenticity, Mercy Shine is an anthem of honesty and self-acceptance, reverberating with bold energy in every rhythm and beat.

 

Their musical journey started in the vibrant arena of rock, where they shared the stage with industry giants including KISS, Godsmack, Fuel, Saliva, and Deep Purple. Spellbinding sold-out crowds became their regularity, a testament to the electrifying performances they unfailingly deliver.

 

In August 2019, Mercy Shine set their roots in the music scene with the release of their debut single "Curves," an infectious, upbeat track that also headlined their self-titled EP. Not missing a beat, they released "That's Where You'll Find Me" in July 2020, a follow-up single brimming with heartfelt emotion. December 2020 saw the release of their second EP, "Mercy Shine 2," featuring the chart-topping radio single "Why Can't It Be Tonight." Produced by Kimo Forrest, famed guitarist of the Country Music Hall Of Fame group Alabama, the track soared, hitting #64 on the Music Row Charts.

 

Mercy Shine's dazzling impact has not gone unnoticed, earning them recognition at the Josie Music Awards in 2019 and 2020. The Josie Music Awards, the largest independent artist awards show globally, nominated them for Duo of the Year and Fan Choice of the Year, with Mercy Shine taking home the Duo of the Year award in 2019. That same year, they were also nominated for Duo of the Year and Single of the Year at the KICMA Awards, taking home the SB Productions Rising Star Of The Year Award.

 

Capping off their remarkable achievements, Mercy Shine found themselves on the Official Ballot for the prestigious 2021 63rd Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Country Duo or Group Performance. This dynamic duo's harmonious blend of country and rock breathes life into the industry, leaving an indelible mark on listeners around the world. As Mercy Shine continues to evolve, their music promises to remain a powerful testament to authenticity, resilience, and the transformative power of art.
